Fatal Archer County Crash

A crash in Archer County has claimed at least one life. This two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Business 82 and U.S. 182. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers stated that the wreck happened at about 10:00 p.m. last Friday night. KFDX News Channel Three reported that Cynthia Malone was leaving Holiday and driving west on Business 82 at the time. She reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, and her vehicle collided with another. Sadly, Malone was pronounced dead on the scene. There were two passengers in her vehicle that sustained injuries as well.

The two passengers in Malone’s vehicle were 79-year-old Alice Miller and Seven-year-old Antonio Delgado. First responders were on the scene immediately, and both passengers were quickly transported to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls. Their injuries were listed as serious. KFDX reported on Monday that they were still listed in critical condition. The driver of the second vehicle was Dallas Whitefield. Whitefield also sustained injuries in this crash. Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety haven’t released details on why Malone failed to yield at the stop sign.
