House Fire in Wichita Falls

Earlier this week, a house fire in Wichita Falls sent a man and his son to the hospital. According to KFDX News Channel Three, the fire started sometime around 4:00 a.m., on the 500 block of Austin Street. Jerry Roberts Senior, 75 years old, and his son Jerry Roberts Junior, 52 years old, were both in the house at the time of the fire. Although very few details have been released, initial reports indicate that the fire may have started from an electrical short involving an air conditioner.

Two Injured in Austin Street House Fire

The father, Jerry Roberts Senior, reportedly suffered from third degree burns to his hands, feet and second degree burns on other portions of his body. His son also suffered from burns and smoke inhalation. As of Wednesday, Jerry Roberts Junior had been treated and released from United Regional Hospital, and his father was listed in good condition.
