A fatal rollover-crash resulted in the death of a Midwestern State University graduate. Kelvin Chazarreta, of Benbrook, was pronounced dead on the scene, in the early morning hours last Tuesday. Chazarreta, a graduate of MSU, was only 23-years-old. Law enforcement officials report that the driver of the truck has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. The deadly crash occurred after 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday morning, northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.
Chazarreta, along with three other people were in the pick-up truck when it rolled off an embankment. According to initial police reports, the driver was trying to make a U-turn on a dead-end street when the truck flipped and rolled out of control. The truck went off of an embankment and rolled several times before coming to a stop. Chazarreta was ejected and pinned under the vehicle. No other automobiles were involved in this deadly crash. Police officers reported that the group had attended a bar prior to the wreck. There were no other injuries reported.
