Failure to Yield Crash on Highway 49

Over the weekend, a failure to yield crash in Medicine Park, Oklahoma sent two people to the hospital. According to KSWO ABC News Channel Seven, the wreck happened sometime before 2:00 p.m. on Highway 49, in front of Fisherman’s Cove. Apparently, the driver of a silver Toyota failed to yield when turning onto Highway 49. A westbound Mustang then crashed into the Toyota and the vehicle spun around. The airbags in the Toyota did not deploy, and the driver was unresponsive on the scene. That person and a passenger in the Mustang were transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

At this time, there’s no word on either person’s current condition or the extent of their injuries. Also, no information has been released about citations involved, or if the cause of the wreck is still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
