A man sustained serious injuries Tuesday morning after his pickup crashed into an 18 wheeler on 287 outside Henrietta and near the Triangle Brick Company plant.
According to DPS Sgt. Dan Buesing, John Schroeder of Bellevue was driving his Ford pick-up going north on hwy 287, when a 18 wheeler semi-trailer was leaving the brick plant and entered southbound traffic.
The driver of the 18 wheeler failed to yield the right of way to the Schroeder vehicle causing the pick up truck to collide into the 18 wheelers trailer, according to Sgt. Buesing.
Schroeder suffered severe personal injury and was airlifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth.
