Two People Hospitalized After Crash on Central Freeway

A one-car crash on Central Freeway sent two passengers to the hospital. The wreck occurred before 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning. The car, a Ford Mustang, was travelling westbound on Central Freeway when the driver appeared to lose control of the vehicle. The car flipped over the guardrail between McKinney and Windthorst Road. After flipping the guardrail, the car rolled down the embankment of the overpass. Both passengers, a man and a woman, were transported to United Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the car took off on foot and has not been located. There is no word on whether or not he sustained any injuries during the wreck.

Investigators have not released any information on the official cause of the one-car crash. Law enforcement officials and clean-up crews were on the scene swiftly.
